John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Brookline, Massachusetts. David B. Eskind (1909-1992), a radio scriptwriter and producer, was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He studied writing under Thornton Wilder at the University of Chicago, from which he graduated in 1934. For the next several years he wrote radio scripts for NBC and CBS.
